Highlights from the film include the introduction of 15-year-old phenom Sean Pettit, early season deep pow with Mark Abma, Matchstick’s return to Alaska over the course of four epic shoots, and a speed riding session from Chamonix, France – literally a synthesis of paragliding and skiing where skiers skip down sheer mountain faces with the aid of a small paraglider. Matchstick captured this insane new sport with a state of the art high-definition helicopter mounted camera.

“CLAIM” features several longtime MSP all-stars as well as a few newcomers, making up an A list roster including Mark Abma, Ingrid Backstrom, Rory Bushfield, Chris Davenport, Simon Dumont, Stian Hagen, Hugo Harrisson, James Heim, Eric Hjorleifson, PK Hunder, CR Johnson, Shane McConkey, Jon Olsson, Sean Pettit, Chris Rubens, TJ Schiller, Colby West, and Jacob Wester.

In Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the relentless winter of 2008 left its’ mark as one of the snowiest in recorded history, with over 600” of the fluffy white having graced the rocky range of the Tetons.  The incredible snowfall total of 600” was double that of the drought-stricken 300” winter of 2007.  That being said, the sequel was born…

Indulge in the faceshots of the Storm Show crew as they bask in the heavenly depths of endless powder days, waist deep for weeks on end.  Follow stuntman/ speedflier Matt Combs as he launches off of 500 foot cliffs, and flies away with the aid of his trusty paraglider.  Death-defying skier Mike Tierney continues to stack up first descents on the exposed faces of Cody Peak, with multiple gigantic airs in the no-fall-zone of Igneous Rocks Couloir.  The winter of 08 was one for the record books, the season that we all dream about, it was 600 inches...

This fall, Leeward Cinema presents something new for the snowboard community.  In an effort to help conserve the environment, instead of sleds, helis, and chairlifts we are using human-power.  The whole film is being shot in the Sierras and will be in wilderness areas illegal to all motorized vehicles.

The terrain that these guys get into is amazing. They got themselves into areas most would die to get to, and Jeremy Jones gets himself into what you’d expect him to: extremely scary lines. Tom Burt shows up to show everyone that he is still at the top of his game, and Erik Leines, Josh Dirksen, Thayne Mahler, Ben Lynch and the rest of the crew will have you laughing more than you thought possible for a snowboard movie.
